Nurse Practitioner
Lucy Switaj, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, AGACNP-BC
My journey in healthcare began in 2017 when I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Over the years, I've had the privilege of caring for patients in many different settings, from medical-surgical nursing and intensive care to emergency medicine. Each experience has shaped the way I practice medicine today, teaching me the importance of compassion, connection, and truly listening to the people in my care.
Wanting to build deeper, lasting relationships with my patients, I went on to earn my dual Master's degree from the University of South Alabama, becoming both a Family Nurse Practitioner and an Adult-Gerontological Nurse Practitioner. For the past four years, I've worked in family medicine, where I've discovered just how meaningful it is to help patients take charge of their health before problems arise.
What I love most about primary care is getting to know the person behind the symptoms. I believe that good healthcare goes beyond prescriptions and lab results. It's about understanding your lifestyle, your challenges, your goals, and what matters most to you. I'm passionate about looking at the bigger picture, getting to the root of health concerns, and working together to create realistic, sustainable changes that help you feel your best for years to come.
Outside of the office, you'll usually find me spending time with my husband, our two children, and our dog. Staying active and making time for fitness and wellness are important parts of my own life, although, like many busy parents, I know that finding balance isn't always easy! I bring that same understanding into my practice, because I believe that taking care of your health should fit into your life, not the other way around.
